Now he is one of the most translated authors in the world. 'The Ebb-Tide' is a short novel co-written by Stevenson and his stepson Lloyd Osbourne. The plot revolves around three down-on-their-luck men in Tahiti. All of them agree to ship out on a vessel whose officers died of smallpox, but on the way, they decide to steal the ship and its cargo.
